A refrigerator that runs continuously is usually struggling to maintain its target internal temperature. This is most frequently caused by a heavy coating of dust, pet hair, and lint covering the condenser coils underneath or behind the unit, which prevents heat from escaping. It can also stem from worn, torn door gaskets allowing warm kitchen air to seep inside constantly. Cleaning your coils twice a year and inspecting your seals helps prevent compressor burnout and drops your utility bills.
Water pooling inside or under your refrigerator is almost always the result of a clogged defrost drain line. During automatic defrost cycles, melted frost travels down a small tube into a pan under the unit where it safely evaporates; if food crumbs, slime, or ice chunks plug this line, the water backs up and leaks directly into the fresh food cabin floor. Our appliance specialists can quickly clear out the blockage with hot water and compressed air to restore clean drainage.
If your ice maker stops production, the primary culprits are a frozen water inlet tube, a defective water inlet valve behind the unit, or a failing mechanical ejector assembly inside the freezer module. It can also happen if your internal water filter hasn't been changed in over six months, as calcified mineral accumulation drops water pressure below the threshold required to trigger the fill valve. Our technicians can trace the water line, clear the ice blocks, or replace the assembly module easily.
